iPhone 3gs

iPhone 3gs

So now that I’ve had the iPhone 3gs for a few days (since Monday night). It’s a good phone. Stable and quick. My biggest complaint with it is the OS, oh and iTunes. What a pile of shit. I’ve tried iTunes a few years ago, and it sucked then. It still sucks! I hope that the iPhone OS 4.0 will make the OS better. My biggest issue is wishing that the home screen can be customized. Where you can put widgets on it, change the wallpaper, etc. A light on the phone flashing would be nice for missed text messages, phone calls, etc.

Anyway…..

New phone

So last night I got a new phone. Got the 16 gig black iPhone 3gs. I’m happy with it so far. I wasn’t wanting to get a new phone. But tmobile service doesn’t work out at my new job. Anyway….

Cyanogen Mod

Cyanogen Mod

Oh how I love you Cyanogen Mod for my G1. This latest update (4.2.5) rocks. Phone is so much faster than the previous updates. Don’t get me wrong the previous updates weren’t bad either.

I’m excited to have the next 3 days off from work. Planning on getting another used tire for my car, and hope to get an oil change done tomorrow. I hope not to run out of time, and get everything done. Time will tell.

Hope to make it out to Wendover tomorrow when Glad gets off work. Thinking about getting my camera out of the pawn shop. But thinking about leaving it in there for a bit longer.

I Feel Like a Fool…

I Feel Like a Fool...

Yeah I let the domain name for utahpunk.org expire. I feel like a silly customer. The more silly thing is that I didn’t have a valid email address in there, so I didn’t even get the notices. I got the domain name back, just costed me more than it should have. Sucks even more since I’m stressing over money.

Comcast Internet

I’ve had problems with my internet for the past few days. Speeds ranging anywhere from 56k (yes dial up speeds), up to about 2mbps (I should be getting 8). Called Comcast did a few things, but still no luck. Talked to a nice guy yesterday who spent the time to help me narrow down the issue. It was stupid what the issue was, and feel like a retard cause of it. Yeah the two coax connections on the spilter was loose. Tighten those up, issue resolved.

Virtual Box

I installed Virtual Box on my XPx64 machine last night. I have Vista x64 running on the virtual machine. Haven’t had a chance to play with it too much. But so far, it rocks. I remember years ago that setting up a VM was a pain in the butt. Things didn’t work correctly, and was just more work than it was worth. Very user friendly, and I’m really happy with it so far.

DAMN!!!!

Faster Internet…

Posted in Technology on January 16th, 2009 by James

I upgraded my internet with Comcast. Figured why not. Since I’ll be saving money by being a non smoker (or well that’s the plan). I can afford $18 bucks more for faster internet.

On another note without going into details. Lots of negative energy in the air this week. Hopefully that has come to an end.

Just upgraded to WordPress 2.7. The control panel/dashboard looks mighty sexy. So much cleaning, and nicer then before.
